Cache Valley Mesh

Getting Started

Hello and welcome to Cache Valley Mesh!

Right now we're sure you have lots of questions... Cache Valley Utah? Cache Valley Idaho? What's a mesh? Is this some new-fangled way to communicate? Who the heck are you guys?

All very valid questions!

Yes. Also yes. It's an interconnected, redundant, self-healing network of devices meant to enable communication when what you're used to doesn't work or doesn't fit your use-case scenario. Um, I think we just answered that one.

As for who we are, we're a bunch of volunteers who want to be able to communicate better. We want to be able to reach our friends and families when the cellular network is down, or even when the power is down. We want to be able to track the things that are important to us without having to buy into an eco-system of products or pay a monthly subscription fee. And we want you to be able to do all of that with us!

We're new, and we're just getting started. Look around, find an event where you can meet us, ask us questions, or review presentations that we've given in the past.

Come along for the ride! It's going to be fun!
